Pass the remote: March
Upcoming events and recommendations from the remote body and others
A big welcome to March and the beginning of Spring. I am stoked about the days getting longer. This month in the UK is the beginning of daffodil season. I love when the flowers start popping up from their bulbs all over the place - like secret surprises pushing through the soil. I was playing with idea of starting with a quote about March and they’re all about the unpredictability of the month - how it’s sunny and offering hope of warmer weather one day and then bucketing it down with rain the next.
At the remote body:
Out of Sorts: remote body anthology of narrative cripping will be launching on Wednesday 25th of March at 18.30 GMT with a remote reading to celebrate. To RSVP to this free event please email info (at) theremotebody (dot) com with the subject ‘Out of Sorts Launch RSVP’, and we will send you a link on the day of the event to join. If you’d like to pre-order a print copy of the anthology to make sure you get one, you can visit our shop site here.
Throughout March we will be asynchronously screening Time:Distance (2012) by artist filmmaker, Holly Antrum with a newly commissioned audio description made in collaboration with Char, Holly and Joe Rizzo Naudi (DesCript). We will also be sharing another commission in relation to this project alongside some thoughts on process notes over the course of the month, through this newsletter.
