Generative Spring writing and a workshop with Chronic Pain Project
March workshops coming your way
Hi folks,
We are super pleased to be bringing you several workshops this month! Information below :)
A Generative Writing Workshop inspired by the Celtic Wheel with Clare Egan
Our first offering this month is a generative writing workshop that takes place over two afternoons that is aligned with the rhythms of the Celtic wheel. Everything in life is cyclical, and every season has its own unique energy and meaning. Together we will track the seasonal changes and explore what it means for our creative work.
The Spring session will take place from 2pm-4pm GMT, on Saturday March 16th and Saturday March 23rd on Zoom with captions from Rev, facilitated by queer writer and writing teacher Clare Egan.
Each workshop will take place over two concurrent Saturday afternoons in line with the seasonal solstices and equinoxes. Our primary goal is to encourage writers to deepen their creative practice and enjoy the experience of creation rather than aiming for any particular outcome.
Each workshop will include seasonally appropriate reflections, prompts, group work and some dedicated writing time. Each participant will receive a copy of the class worksheets and will have an opportunity to submit a piece (max 2000 words) for feedback. They will also be encouraged to continue their creative exploration outside of our time together.
The workshops will focus on the following themes:
Week 1: Embracing the bountiful rebirth of Spring (March 16th)
Week 2: The creative tension of opposites (March 23rd)

This class is offered on a ‘pay what you can’ basis and no-one should be turned away due to lack of funds. The suggested donation is between £25 and £65 for each season.

Visual Storytelling for Chronic Illness
We are pleased to be hosting the Chronic Pain Project and their workshop on visual storytelling. In this workshop you will be looking to shape, beyond the conventional narrative arc, to help communicate experiences of chronic illness and chronic pain through visual storytelling. Facilitated by Sarah Stern.
This workshop is 1.5 hours long with breaks and aims to be a generative space to play with visual representations of your experiences.
The workshop will take place on Saturday 30th of March at 12pm EST or 5pm GMT on Zoom with captions from Rev.
The workshop will include artmaking time that can be either digital or analog depending on what is most accessible to you. Recommended art materials for handmade work include colorful pens or pencils and paper. No drawing skills are required. We will be using abstract shapes to visually tell your chronic illness story. You have the option of continuing to work on your abstract data visualization of symptoms over time, after the workshop ends.
This class is offered on a ‘pay what you can’ basis and no-one should be turned away due to lack of funds. The suggested donation is between $5 and $20, roughly £4-£16.
Email us to secure your space and we will send over donation info.
That’s it for our March listings but more workshops and events will be announced for the coming months, including a stamp making workshop scheduled for April 9th if you want to put that date in your diary!
Solidarity,
Char xx
